"It takes a noble person to plant a seed that may provide future shade for someone never met."

Endowments are funds that keep giving in perpetuity. These funds are established through a large monetary gift and, unlike a bequest, are executed and brought to fruition during a person's lifetime
The income generated by these funds is used to pay for a variety of projects or programs that are of interest to the endower.

The primary benefit of an endowment fund is to provide an ongoing source of income which is available to fund the needs of the community for generations to come.

The Talmud teaches that as our parents planted for us, so must we plant for our children.
