Academy BJE is run by the NSW Board of Jewish Education, responsible for the Jewish education of children outside the Jewish day school system. It reaches over 2,000 students state wide. The Academy ensures that every Jewish child in New South Wales has the opportunity to receive a Jewish education and be an integral part of the community.
The Academy uses innovative online learning programmes to supplement face-to-face teaching of Hebrew and scripture in State schools. They operate a Teacher's Resource Centre, Sunday Hebrew Centres, and the Jewish Student Network for high school students. They also maintain communication with Jewish families in isolated areas. The JCA is the Academy's primary source of funding.
